Norway: Gene therapeutic vaccines exempted from regulation

Gene therapeutic prophylactic vaccines are being exempted from regulation in the Biotechnology Act. This will have major consequences for the approval and administration of vaccines based on a new genetic engineering platform. Which, among other things, will have an impact on pandemic vaccines, e.g. vaccine against Covid-19.

Which means that the Norwegian population may be subject to vaccination with an experimental genetic engineering vaccine based on legislation that has been modified in such a way that one legally adds facilitate legal experimental, possible compulsory vaccination with a vaccine whose clinical studies had not yet been completed at the time the decision to amend the law was available.
